Yajie: 你住在哪儿？Where do you live? 住, to live. zh-u, the fourth falling tone. 你住在哪儿？(ni3 zhu4 zai4 nar3) where do you live? Cam, how do you say where does he live?
Cam: 他住在哪儿？(ta1 zhu4 zai4 nar3)
Yajie: Yes, 他住在哪儿？

Conversation1:

Cam: 饭店(fan4 dian4), hotel. f-an, fourth tone,. D-i-an, fourth tone again,. 北京饭店 (bei3 jing1 fan4 dian4), the Beijing Hotel.

Yajie: 三门 (san1 men2), entrance 3. 门 (men2), door. m-en, second tone. But it’s usually attached with 儿（er） at the end in spoken Chinese. So it’s: 三门儿(san1 men2 er), entrance 3.

Cam: Yajie, 你在哪儿工作（ni3 zai4 nar3 gong1 zuo4）？Where do you work?
Yajie: 我在中国国际广播电台工作。I’m working at China Radio International.
Cam: Got it. 中国国际广播电台 (zhong1 guo2 guo2 ji4 guang3 bo1 dian4 tai1) is China Radio International. So I can give my answer by replacing 哪儿, where, with my place of employment.

Conversation3:
