intransitive verb

1. to burn (quemarse) (bosque, casa)

la iglesia está ardiendo -> the church is burning o on fire

con eso va que arde (informal figurative) -> that's more than enough

2. to be boiling hot (estar caliente) (café, sopa)

¡está que arde! (figurative) -> he's fuming; (persona) it's getting pretty heated (reunión)

3. (sentir ardor)

le arde la cara -> her face is burning

4. (por deseos)

arder de rabia -> to burn with rage

arder en deseos de hacer algo -> to be dying to do something
